Indeed believes the world works better when people are given every opportunity to unleash their true talents. It's why every day Indeed helps people find jobs that match their experience, skills and talent, helping them fulfill their potential and unleash their talent.
In partnership with the OFI Athletes' Commission, Sports Institute Ireland and Bernard Dunne, Indeed has developed the Indeed Career Coach programme, designed to help athletes transition their talents into other jobs after they retire from competing. As a former World Champion Boxer and current High-performance Director of the Irish Athletic Boxing Association's (IABA) Bernard knows all about the need to plan ahead for all stages of an athlete's career.
As the world's number one job site we are the experts in helping people get jobs, given this perspective we have designed the programme to tackle the specific challenges former athletes can face when changing careers. The programme seeks to work with athletes at all stages of their career, encouraging those at earlier stages to start planning ahead, and providing more hands-on guidance for those ready for us to help in transitioning their career.
The programme includes resources available to everyone on Indeed Career Coach website, classroom sessions for athletes at Indeed HQ and one-to-one mentoring tailored to former athletes.
